Help: Aion Maps Tool

Starting Out

To start using our Aion Map Tool, select a map from the "Show" menu at the top of the tool. This will start loading the Detailed view of the map (if no Detailed view exists, the World Map view will load).

Basic Usage

The Atreia maps can be viewed in two different ways. The Detailed Map view, as the name implies, displays a more detailed version of the map - similar to how it appears in your in-game mini-map. The World Map view displays maps the way they appear in your in-game World Map pop-up.

To switch between the Detailed Map and World Map views, click on the corresponding button at the bottom-right of the tool. Note that the World Map view is not normally applicable to Instance maps.

The numbers displayed at the bottom-left portion of the map are the in-game coordinates that your cursor is currently hovering over.

Zooming

You can zoom in or out of maps by using the slider at the right portion of the tool, or by using your mouse wheel (move up to zoom in, down to zoom out). You can also move the map by clicking anywhere on the map and dragging it until you're happy with the positioning.

Adding Markers

You can use the various Markers at the upper-right portion of the tool to mark locations of interest on the map. There are seven markers in total: NPC, Quest, Gathering, Named Mobs, Diamond, Pin 1, and Pin 2. To place a marker on the map, click on the marker you want to use, then CTRL + left-click on the desired location. Right-click on a marker to remove it, or click on the "Clear" button at the bottom-right of the tool to remove all the markers placed on the map.

Tint

If you find that the markers are difficult to see, click on the "Tint" button at the bottom-right to slightly darken the map.

Viewing Details

Zone maps can show you the locations of named mobs and gather sources found in each zone using markers. You can use the drop-down menu located at the top bar of the map to choose which named mob or gather source you'd like to view on the map.

Sharing Your Map

To share your map with your friends, click on the "Create Link" button at the bottom-left of the tool and copy the URL that appears in the text box beside it.
